Jonas ScholarsMore doctorally prepared nurses are needed everywhere, the front of the classroom being no exception.
As faculty shortages remain a challenge and as health care demands more nurses who can practice and teach at higher levels, the Jonas Center for Nursing Excellence, through its Jonas Nurse Scholar Program, has maintained its support of future nurses who can fulfill these needs. The program also supports nurses who are focused on care for veterans.

Phyllis Sharps, PhD, RN, FAAN, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement in Education and Research Award at the 2016 annual meeting of the Association of Black Nursing Faculty.

Students with a bachelor’s degree in any field who want to switch to nursing now join the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing’s MSN: Entry into Nursing program.
Grads of that program are qualified to sit for the NCLEX and are primed for success at the bedside or at other levels of nursing.
